Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred,
let me sow seeds of love;
Where there is injury,
let me sow seeds of pardon;
Where there is discord,
let me sow seeds of union;
Where there is doubt,
let me sow seeds of faith;
Where there is despair,
let me sow seeds of hope;
Where there is darkness,
let me sow seeds of light;
And where there is sadness,
let me sow seeds of joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console You in others; to be loved, as to love You in others.
For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying as a seed to our selfishness that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
