AIRPORTS:
The closest airport is in Pittsburgh. Flights to and from the Akron/Canton Airport are the least expensive.
Another nearby airport is in Columbus. Car rental is available at all three airports. |
FROM PITTSBURGH AIRPORT:
Take Rt. 576 West towards Weirton which will become 22 West towards
Weirton/Steubenville. (Note: There is a toll on this exit which requires change, or you can use the EZ Pass lane.) Stay on
Rt. 22 West and cross over the Ohio River. Stay in the left lane on Rt. 22 West (and Rt. 7 North), alongside the river. Then
veer left on Rt. 22 West towards Cadiz. Follow Rt. 22 West, passing Steubenville and
Wintersville, to Bloomingdale/Richmond exit (Rt. 152). Be careful not to exceed the speed limit, as these areas are strictly enforced. At exit
ramp, turn right onto Rt. 152 North (toward Richmond, not Bloomingdale). Go about 100 yards and turn left onto Rt. 36
(Seminary Road). Stay on black top on Rt. 36 (Seminary Road) for 31⁄2 miles to Catholic Familyland.
Travel time: Approximately 45 minutes. |
FROM PITTSBURGH AREA (EAST):
Take Rt. 22/30 West out of Pittsburgh to 22 West. Follow 22 West as in directions
from Pittsburgh Airport (above). Travel time: Approximately 11⁄2 hours. |
FROM STEUBENVILLE/FRANCISCAN UNIVERSITY AREA:
When leaving the University, turn left onto University Blvd. Follow University Blvd. to Rt. 7 North. Turn left onto Rt. 7 North, and go along river for about 1 mile.
Veer left onto Rt. 22 West towards Cadiz. Be careful not to exceed speed limit, as these areas are strictly enforced. Take the
Bloomingdale/Richmond exit (Rt. 152). Turn right onto Rt. 152 North (toward Richmond, not Bloomingdale). Go about
100 yards and turn left onto Rt. 36 (Seminary Road). Stay on black top on Rt. 36 (Seminary Road) for 31⁄2 miles to Catholic
Familyland. Travel time: Approximately 25 minutes. |
FROM CLEVELAND/CANTON/AKRON AIRPORT, ETC. AREA (NORTH):
Take I-80 East to I-77 South. Follow I-77 South to Rt. 250 East (Uhrichsville), approximately 50 miles. Rt. 250 turns into a two-lane road. Follow Rt. 250 East
to Rt. 22 East (Cadiz). Follow Rt. 22 East to Bloomingdale/Richmond exit (Rt. 152). Turn left onto Rt. 152 North (toward
Richmond, not Bloomingdale). Be careful not to exceed speed limit, as these areas are strictly enforced. Go about 500
yards and turn left onto Rt. 36 (Seminary Road). Stay on black top on Rt. 36 (Seminary Road) for 31⁄2 miles to Catholic
Familyland. Travel time: 21⁄2 hours. |
FROM WHEELING, WV (SOUTH):
Cross over Ohio River to Bridgeport, OH. Take Rt. 7 North out of Bridgeport to Steubenville. About one mile north of Steubenville, veer left on Rt. 22 West (toward Cadiz). Follow Rt. 22 West to
Bloomingdale/Richmond exit (Rt. 152). Turn right onto Rt. 152 North (toward Richmond, not Bloomingdale). Go about
100 yards and turn left onto Rt. 36 (Seminary Road). Stay on black top on Rt. 36 (Seminary Road) for 31⁄2 miles to Catholic
Familyland. Travel time: Approximately 1 hour. |
FROM COLUMBUS, INDIANAPOLIS, ST. LOUIS, ETC. AREA (WEST):
Follow I-70 out of Columbus, Ohio to I-77 North. Take I-77 North to Rt. 22 East. Follow Rt. 22 East to Bloomingdale/Richmond exit (Rt. 152). Turn left onto Rt.
152 North (toward Richmond, not Bloomingdale). Go about 500 yards and turn left onto Rt. 36 (Seminary Road). Stay
on black top on Rt. 36 (Seminary Road) for 31⁄2 miles to Catholic Familyland.

TO PITTSBURGH AIRPORT FROM CATHOLIC FAMILYLAND:
Take Seminary Road (Rt. 36) to Rt. 152. Turn right onto Rt. 152 and go over the overpass. Take the first left onto Rt. 22 East. Stay on Rt. 22 East. (Do not take I-279
to Pittsburgh.) From Rt. 22 East, take the exit for 576 East which is marked �Airport.� (Note: There is a toll on this exit
