"Souls who spread the honor of My mercy I shield through their entire life as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death I will not be a judge for them, but a merciful Savior... (Diary, 1075)

Low resolution version (and other videos)

On April 30th in the Jubilee Year 2000, Pope John Paul II canonized St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, the “Great Apostle of Divine Mercy” and he declared that from now on, throughout the whole Church, the second Sunday of Easter would take the name of Divine Mercy Sunday.

“I want to encourage and support parishes or groupings of parishes which can find a way to prolong the Divine Mercy Sunday celebration through the day, especially through Eucharistic adoration and through opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.” (April 1, 1998-Bishop Justin Rigali)
